Which poster to give for a retirement?
Rather than a gift of circumstance that is quickly forgotten, a poster that announces the life about to begin (traveling, gardening, returning to a hobby) marks a retirement with more meaning.

Mark a real beginning, not just an ending
A retirement often leads to gifts tied to the work that is ending (a watch, a desk accessory), soon put away in a drawer. A poster means more if it announces what is beginning: time at last to travel, garden or return to a hobby set aside for years.
If they long to travel
For someone who already talks about going away more often, the Île de Ré poster shows the Phare des Baleines lighthouse standing at the end of its rocky point, facing the ocean, in the style of old travel posters: an image that makes you want to set sail.
If they long to garden
For a person eager to get back to their garden, the Peony and Iris poster brings together a bouquet of pink peonies and purple irises on a table in the middle of the garden: a calm subject, made to last, far from a gift of circumstance.
If they long to return to a hobby
For someone who has always put off a sport for lack of time, the Perfect Swing poster shows a golfer mid-swing on a seaside course, beneath a lighthouse: a concrete nod to a hobby that is finally within reach.
Choosing between 2 posters
The same questions as for other gift occasions apply: what specific plan has the person mentioned, where could they hang the poster, and do the colors suit them? The Which poster to give? guide explains the method occasion by occasion.

Frequently asked questions
You often ask us
Do I need to know the person’s specific plans to choose well?
Not in detail, but a general idea helps a lot: a wish to travel, garden, or take up a sport or hobby set aside during working life. The poster should announce this new life, not just mark the end of the old one.
Is a poster suitable for a group retirement gift (team present)?
Yes, as long as you choose a subject broad enough to speak to everyone (a travel landscape rather than a very personal hobby, for example), and check the size in each poster’s selector before ordering.
