about this poster

Whale poster off “VANCOUVER ISLAND”

A few yards from a small white sailboat, a whale dives, raising its great tail fluke, streaming with water. On board, a sailor watches this rare moment. Behind him stretch a fir-covered coast and bluish mountains. This whale poster captures an encounter at sea, somewhere between wonder and respect. Sky blue, ocean blue and forest green make up a fresh North Pacific palette. The closeness of the boat gives a sense of the animal’s scale. The title “VANCOUVER ISLAND” sets the scene.

An encounter at sea for a bedroom or living room

Its blues and greens bring freshness to a bedroom, living room, bathroom or waterside home. In portrait format, it fits nicely between 2 windows or above a dresser. It pairs well with raw wood, linen, rope and nautical objects. It can join other whale posters or grand Canadian landscapes. It makes a gift for an ocean lover, a sailor, a traveler back from Canada or a child passionate about cetaceans.

Choosing the size and the spot
