about this poster

Laundry room poster, the steps of laundry day “LAUNDRY 101”

Like a page from a manual, the “LAUNDRY 101” poster tells the story of old-fashioned laundry day step by step. The clothes first soak in a zinc tub, then move to the washboard with its bar of soap. Farther along, a woman feeds a sheet between the wooden rollers of a large cast-iron wringer, while a kettle steams on a small stove. In front, baskets of folded laundry rest on mint and pink tiles. This laundry room poster is full of detail and gentle humor.

A detail-filled poster for the laundry room

Its portrait format and abundant details invite a close look, making it a great companion for a laundry room, a bathroom or a pantry. The mint and pink tones blend with light tiles, wooden shelves, jars and woven baskets. In a country-house kitchen, it also fits in beside vintage zinc or enamel pieces. It makes a clever housewarming gift, or a present for anyone who loves hunting down old-fashioned utensils.
