Rialto Bridge and gondola on Venice’s Grand Canal poster

Venice poster, the Rialto Bridge and a gondola

The Rialto Bridge spans Venice’s Grand Canal in all its pale stone. In the foreground, a gondola glides toward it, steered by a gondolier seen from behind. This Venice poster takes up the style of illustrated travel posters, with the reflections on the water, the warm hues of the lagoon and a vertical composition that leads the eye from the boat to the bridge. The image is calm, and you can almost hear the lapping of the oar. The title “VENEZIA”, Venice in Italian, is set in large capital letters beneath the scene.

Venice in the living room or as a travel souvenir

Its warm tones and reflections suit a living room, a dining room, a bedroom or an entryway. It pairs beautifully with velvet, brass, aged wood, colored glass and ocher or Venetian red tones. It makes a lovely duo with other posters of Italy. It is an obvious gift for a couple who honeymooned in Venice, lovers of Italy, an architecture enthusiast or a wedding anniversary.
